Two Natives From San Diego, California
My business partner and I were born and raised in San Diego California. We met when we were young kids playing in the street. As we grew older, we dressed to impress and had a keen eye for stylish and quality clothing. So much so, that we would compete on who had the best outfit for any particular day. Soon this competition between us led us to our amazing journey as business partners.
Our journey to starting a leather jacket business.
Early 2019, we were competing, like always, on who’s leather jacket was better and and of course we couldn’t agree. That quickly turned into a deep assessment of our individual jackets, listing the pro’s and con’s for each. Needless to say, we agreed to disagree. We soon realized our unique passion for leather jackets and the challenges of finding an affordable leather jacket that was also high in quality. That insight created our mission to manufacture high quality premium leather jackets, without breaking the bank.
Traveling the world to find quality leather
After many years of research, travel to many countries, our search was over. We found and partnered with the capital of leather, Leon Guanajuato, Mexico! In Leon we found the trade of working with leather has been passed down from generations to generations. People from Leon are true artesian when working with leather.
Start of our business
As soon as we decided that we were going to partnered up with the artesian of Leon. My partner and I started strategizing a plan to deliver the best quality jackets at the lowest possible cost. It took us three years of debating and strategizing but finally we have El Guapo Gentlemens Clothing. Who would of thought that a simple competition, resulted in a merging of knowledge, style and passion to make high quality leather jackets for regular people.
